You can now top up your PayMe up to HKD30,000!
You asked and we listened – you can now use an HSBC bank account to top up your PayMe up to HKD30,000 a month, completely free. Yes, you read that right – you no longer need to have a Visa or MasterCard to use PayMe!
To enjoy the HKD30,000 in top ups a month, make sure to submit your HKID details. Read on below to find out how to get started with bank account top ups.

If you’re an HSBC bank account holder
You can link your bank account to your PayMe instantly and enjoy instant top ups.
To link your bank account to PayMe, tap “Settings” in menu, and then “Banks & Credit Cards” and “Link a bank account”.
You’ll be asked to verify your HKID and your mobile number associated with your bank account record to complete linking your bank account to PayMe. You’ll be notified once your bank account has been successfully linked.
If you’re a non-HSBC bank account holder
Bank account top ups and higher limits are now available to HSBC bank account holders, but fear not, our team is working hard to make sure these will be available for another 20+ Hong Kong banks as soon as possible.
Two great ways to top up
You can use both your bank account and/or credit card for top ups. That means you have two ways to enjoy the HKD30,000 monthly top ups:
•Up to HKD30,000 from your bank account; or
•Up to HKD30,000 from your bank account and credit card combined, maximum of HKD5,000 top up from credit card.
The choice is yours! Whether you need to split travel bills with friends, send a congratulatory red packet for a friend’s wedding, or even settle the rent with your flatmates, PayMe has got you covered.
Want to unlock even higher limits?
Look at you, big spender! We understand, for some of you HKD30,000 in top ups is just not enough. In this case, you can go to your PayMe Settings, add your Hong Kong residential address and add your bank account for top up. Upon successful submission you'll get access up to HKD50,000 in monthly top ups, and overall up to HKD500,000 yearly top ups.
